Busting the Myth of E-Scooter Dangers

A study by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has found that electric scooters are no more dangerous to riders than bicycles.

The research suggests that car and motorcycle journeys in dense urban areas are more likely to result in a road user's death than trips made by e-scooters or other micro-vehicles.

However, the report also notes that shifting from walking to e-scooters could make urban environments less safe.

The UK government is currently consulting on whether to legalize e-scooters, which are presently only allowed on private land.
